The origin

I couldn't afford a nutritionist.
So I built one.

This didn't start as a company. It started as a personal necessity.

I didn't need motivation.
I needed a system.

January 2011

38 years old. Clinically off the scale. Smoking 20 cigarettes a day.

I was eating ~4,000 calories a day. Mostly leftovers, pastries, and quick food. I avoided photos. I avoided holidays. I was disappearing from my own life.

The turning point wasn't a calculated health plan. It was a midnight impulse. After seeing a deeply confronting family portrait, I did something desperate. I entered a 10K. I didn't own trainers. I didn't know what a "macro" was. I just knew there was no way out.

I dressed in head-to-toe black and only ran when it was pitch black outside. That first night, I managed two miles. Short runs became long runs. Over the next few years, everything changed. But as my distances grew, I hit a completely different kind of wall.

I was data-rich, but insight-poor.

I had the heart to run 100 miles, but I didn't have the fuel. I stared at heart rate monitors and sleep scores, but none of it told me what to eat. Food-tracking apps were utterly useless for athletic loads.

So I built the system I couldn't afford.

A system that reads your biology and works out what the day needs, so you don't have to. Today, that system is KEXBI.

The mission

The people who train with intent are served worst.

Food-tracking apps were built for dieters chasing a number, not active people fuelling their training. Train five days a week, and you still get the same flat daily target as someone sitting on a sofa. KEXBI exists to fix that.

Not only runners. The lifter holding muscle through a deficit, the recomper, the person whose training has to fit around a job and a family, and everyone who wants a quicker Parkrun on Saturday.

Why it exists

The data was there. The decision was missing.

I had data on training, sleep, strain, weight and macros. But none of it told me how to build today's meals around today's work. KEXBI connects the two. It turns your upcoming training into real food, with the reasoning open for you to check.

01

You eat what the work needs

Your target is rebuilt from training, sleep and body data. The workout in front of you sets the tone.

02

It keeps the plan honest

Planned versus actual, day by day. The fuelling follows the work you did.

03

It follows your trend

Your weigh-ins move the target. It updates from your trend instead of leaving you on a textbook estimate.

The standard

Every plan clears the same standard.

Every target is traceable through the working, and checked before it reaches you. Three things hold in every plan, whichever way your training goes.

Enough fuel for training.

Protein

Enough protein to support adaptation.

Hydration

Enough hydration for the day.

Where we're going

This is the start.

KEXBI starts as a timed fuel planner. The aim is bigger: fuelling that keeps learning as your training, body and goals change.

Final beta

Test it before everyone else.

Cohort 002 is the last test group before the November launch. Fifty places, free via TestFlight, two months free at launch.
